Israeli army confirms killing of senior Hamas commander in Gaza

KATHMANDU: Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee has confirmed the killing of a Hamas commander in a targeted sniper operation in the Beit Hanoun area, amid ongoing tensions between Israeli forces and Palestinian militants.

The spokesperson stated that Ahmad al-Sawarka, who played a role in terrorist activities against Israeli forces, was targeted by a military aircraft.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue their operations in the central Gaza Strip and southern Rafah area.

Health officials in Gaza report that the Palestinian death toll from Israeli military actions has reached 37,431, with 85,653 individuals injured.
