Police officer shots himself inside federal parliament building (photos)
It has been revealed that Gole went into the restroom located to the left of Gate No. 2 of the Parliament building and shot himself in the forehead with his rifle.
KATHMANDU: A police officer has committed suicide by shooting himself inside the Federal Parliament building.
According to AIG Deepak Thapa, the Kathmandu Valley Police Chief, 22-year-old police constable Ajit Gole, who was stationed at the gate, shot himself in a restroom.
It has been revealed that Gole went into the restroom located to the left of Gate No. 2 of the Parliament building and shot himself in the forehead with his rifle.
He was found dead in the restroom at around 8:15 AM.
The deceased, Ajit Gole, was from Melung Rural Municipality-4 in Dolakha and was stationed at the Nepal Police Central Special Task Force in Kapan.
He was assigned to the Federal Parliament Security Base in New Baneshwor under the Kathmandu Valley Police Office.
AIG Thapa informed that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
