Lightning strike claims life of 45-year-old man in Makwanpur

KATHMANDU: In Raksirang Rural Municipality-2 Thumki of Makwanpur, one person has died due to a lightning strike.

The spokesperson for the District Police Office Makwanpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police Laxmi Bhandari, reported that 45-year-old Bir Bahadur Praja was struck by lightning while sleeping at home this morning.

Spokesperson Bhandari stated that those injured by the lightning were taken to Hetauda Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.

The body of the deceased has been kept at the hospital.

Additionally, Spokesperson Bhandari mentioned that a team led by Police Assistant Inspector Gaurav Bista from Chainpur has been dispatched to the Raksirang police station to further investigate the incident.
