Floods have also washed away four bridges in various rivers of Faktanglung.

In Mikwa Khola-3, a micro-hydropower plant sustained damage as its pipes were washed away, causing a power outage and leaving locals in darkness. Heavy rains since the start of the monsoon season have resulted in floods and landslides across the district, causing significant damage to crops, including cardamom.

Of the 61 wards in the district’s nine local units, 41 are at high risk of floods and landslides, 18 are at medium risk, and two are at low risk, according to the District Administration Office. All seven wards of Faktanglung are at the highest risk.
