KATHMANDU: Bangladesh has become the final team to qualify for the ‘Super 8’ stage of the T20 World Cup cricket.

In the match held on Monday morning, Bangladesh defeated Nepal by 21 runs to secure their place in the ‘Super 8’.

Chasing a target of 107 runs set by Bangladesh, Nepal was bowled out for 85 runs in 19.2 overs, allowing Bangladesh to clinch a comfortable victory.

In the ‘Super 8’ stage of the World Cup, India and the USA have advanced from Group ‘A’, while Australia and England have secured their spots from Group ‘B’.

Afghanistan and the West Indies have qualified from Group ‘C’, and South Africa and Bangladesh have made it through from Group ‘D’.

In the ‘Super 8’, Group 1 will consist of India, Australia, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, while Group 2 will feature the USA, England, the West Indies, and South Africa.

The top two teams from each group will secure a place in the semifinals.

The ‘Super 8’ matches are scheduled to be held in the West Indies from June 19 to June 25.
