KATHMANDU: In response to the murder of Hari Bhushan Kushwaha, the chief of Ram Raja Mohan Bikram Sah Multiple Campus in Bara, community colleges across Nepal remained closed today.

The closure was called by the Nepal Public Campus Association, which issued a statement on Saturday condemning the murder and demanding the identification and prosecution of those responsible.

Following the association’s call, community colleges across the country halted all classes on Sunday.

The association’s statement emphasized the need for the swift legal prosecution of the perpetrators. “We urge all parties to responsibly uphold the fundamental right of citizens to live, and we call on the government to take this matter seriously and ensure its protection,” the statement read.

Kushwaha was shot and killed by an unidentified group on Friday evening.

The incident occurred near the Langhasan Mai Temple in Batara village, Adarsha Kotwal Rural Municipality-3, as he was returning to Kalaiya on his motorcycle from his home.
