Constable Karishma found dead at Siraha District Police Office, police await relatives

KATHMANDU: A police constable was found dead at the District Police Office in Siraha.

Constable Karishma Sunar, who was stationed in the women’s cell, was discovered hanged in the bathroom.

Chief District Officer of Siraha, Basudev Dahal, informed that Sunar’s body will only be sent for post-mortem after her relatives arrive.

As the relatives have not yet arrived, the bathroom door has also not been opened.

Dahal mentioned that they have received information that the relatives are on their way, and further procedures will commence once they arrive.

The deceased constable Karishma was a resident of Khajura Rural Municipality-4 in Banke.

The cause of her death remains unknown.
