Three die, 2 injured in Palpa jeep accident

KATHMANDU: Three people died and two were injured in an accident involving a Bolero jeep on its way back to Butwal from Nuwakot in Palpa’s Tinau Rural Municipality.

The jeep, bearing the license plate Lu 2 Ch 8531, was descending to Jeetgarhi when it fell, resulting in the fatalities and injuries.
DSP Bijayraj Pandit of the Area Police Office Butwal reported that the deceased are Ram Prasad Sharma, the driver, who was a resident of Syangja Pultibazar, Butwal-10; 57-year-old Ashka Shrestha, a resident of Tilottama-3; and 50-year-old Bhagwati Shrestha, also a resident of Tilottama-3.
The injured individuals, 56-year-old Chanda Shrestha of Butwal-9 Milanchowk and 46-year-old Laxmita Shrestha of Butwal-11, are in stable condition, according to police.
