Dipesh Lama gained fame two decades ago as the model for the popular pop song
KATHMANDU: Artist and model Deepesh Lama, who performed in a dozen music videos, has passed away.
The 39-year-old Lama collapsed suddenly while walking in Basundhara, Kathmandu, on Tuesday and was later pronounced dead, according to his relatives.
Dipesh Lama gained fame two decades ago as the model for the popular pop song “Timilai Samjhi Bato Heri Kurirahanthe Ma Sanu Ma.”
Lama had been suffering from Hepatitis B for a long time, but his family suspects a heart attack as the cause of his death.
His mortal remains was cremated on Wednesday at Pashupati Aryaghat.
The song “Sanu Ma” brought Lama instant fame.
He appears alongside Subani Moktan in the video, which was directed by Alok Nembang.
Prem Lama sings the song, which was written and composed by Sanjeev Singh.
Lama has been in various additional music videos over his career.
He also acted in dozens of other music videos.
