Bus traveling from Dang to Kathmandu crashes in Sainamaina

KATHMANDU: A passenger bus en route to Kathmandu from Tulsipur in Dang met with an accident at Saljhundi in Sainamaina, Rupandehi.

The bus (RA 1 Kha 2783)met with an accident in Sainamaina Municipality-10 Saljhundi last night around 11:50 PM.

According to DSP Manohar Prasad Bhatt, the Information Officer of the Rupandehi District Police Office, a bus collided with a sand-laden truck, license plate Lu 1 Kha 687, which had broken down and was parked on the Saljhandi Bazaar bridge.

43 people, including the bus driver and passengers, were injured in the accident.

The injured were taken to Chauraha Hospital Butwal, Adam City Hospital Butwal and Hirachandra Hospital Saljhindi for treatment.
