Suspension of pilot Bhawana Panta lifted
Panta was temporarily grounded following allegations of unauthorized activity in a restricted area of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has reversed the suspension of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) pilot Bhawana Panta.
Panta was temporarily grounded following allegations of unauthorized activity in a restricted area of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).
However, after a thorough investigation, CAAN spokesperson Hansraj Pandey announced that Panta has been cleared of any wrongdoing.
Pandey stated, “A complaint was lodged against pilot Panta regarding alleged breaches in a restricted zone. Upon investigation, it was determined that there were no significant safety concerns, leading to the lifting of the flight suspension.”
Bhawana Panta, who flies NAC’s narrow-body aircraft A320-200, was initially removed from active duty on June 3.
