Wai Wai unveils ‘Cricket Special Edition Packet’, donates Rs 6 million to CAN

KATHMANDU: CG Foods Nepal has announced a donation of Rs 6 million to the Cricket Association Nepal (CAN) in a program held on Monday.

The sponsorship, provided by Wai Wai, includes Rs 3 million for the women’s under-19 cricket team and Rs 3 million for other cricket activities, totaling Rs 6 million.

The announcement was made in the presence of Nirvana Chaudhary, Managing Director of Chaudhary Group.

CAN Secretary Paras Khadka and CG Foods CEO Pradeep Poudel signed the agreement.

Previously, Wai Wai had pledged incentives to the national team participating in the World Cup, including Rs 3 million if the team reached the Super-8.

Additionally, to boost the morale of the Nepali team, they promised Rs 1,000 for each run, Rs 8,000 for each four, Rs 12,000 for each six, Rs 15,000 for each wicket, Rs 50,000 for each half-century, Rs 100,000 for each century, and Rs 150,000 for each win by the Nepali team.

Furthermore, Wai Wai Chow Chow has launched a ‘Wai Wai Cricket Special Edition Packet’ to commemorate Nepal’s historic qualification for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for the second time.

CG Foods Nepal Limited has implemented this special edition packet in collaboration with CAN.

The company believes that this packet will be special for Nepali fans who are enjoying the T20 World Cup alongside the national team.
