Bus-pickup van collision: Driver dead, 8 injured
The deceased, identified as Hiralal Badhai, the driver of the pickup van, lost his life in the collision.
KATHMANDU: An accident occurred on Tuesday morning at around 5:30 AM in Buddhabhumi Municipality-4, Jhadulamai, Kapilvastu, resulting in one fatality and injuries to eight individuals.
According to Inspector Anish Bhandari of the Kapilvastu District Traffic Police Office, the collision involved a bus with registration number KA Pr 02-001 Kha 0525 travelling from Kathmandu to Surkhet and a pickup van with registration number Lu 1 Cha 928.
The accident took place when the two vehicles collided head-on at the incident site.
The deceased, identified as Hiralal Badhai, the driver of the pickup van, lost his life in the collision.
Following the collision, the injured passengers of the pickup van were rescued approximately two hours later.
They have been sent to Butwal for medical treatment.
