KATHMANDU: South Africa won their third consecutive ICC T20 World Cup after defeating Bangladesh in a gripping match.
South Africa won by four runs over Bangladesh.
Chasing South Africa’s modest goal of 114 runs in the last ball encounter, Bangladesh could only manage 109 runs for the cost of seven wickets.
South Africa now has 6 points in Group D after winning their third match. Bangladesh and the Netherlands are tied at 2-2 points in the same 2-2 match, while Nepal and Sri Lanka remain scoreless.
Similarly, South Africa secured their place in the Super 8 of the ICC T20 World Cup by defeating Bangladesh by 4 runs on Monday night.
Nepal has played one match, whereas Sri Lanka has played two.
