Committee formed under economic minister to negotiate with identity advocates

KATHMANDU: The Koshi State Chief Minister and Council of Ministers’ meeting has formed a negotiation committee to engage with identity advocates, with Ram Bahadur Magar, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Planning, as the coordinator.
The meeting held on Monday at the Chief Minister’s Office in Biratnagar appointed Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development Ganesh Prasad Upreti, Minister of Internal Affairs and Planning Lilaballabh Adhikari as members, and Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Planning Laxmi Prasad Paudel as member secretary.
Additionally, the government has appointed four members to the Koshi State Planning Commission.
The appointees are Dr. Sitaram Basnet from Kathmandu, Kishor Kumar Rai from Solukhumbu, Bhawani Baral from Dharan, and Namita Neupane from Biratnagar.
Previously, the state government had already appointed Dr. Rajendra Adhikari as the Vice-Chair of the Planning Commission.
