Emergency rescue drill perfomed at TIA (photos)
The TIA Civil Aviation Office organized this full-scale emergency response exercise as part of its Airport Emergency Plan.

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) conducted an aviation accident drill on Monday from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, temporarily halting airport operations for the exercise.
The drill aimed to train participants in passenger rescue techniques and fire control measures in the event of an accident.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, the exercise included participation from various entities related to aviation safety, security, medical services, and rescue operations.
The drill followed the airport’s emergency plan and encompassed a range of scenarios.
This exercise is designed to enhance cooperation among the different agencies involved in crisis situations, allowing them to evaluate their roles and responsibilities.
Ultimately, the goal is to minimize damage and improve efficiency in handling real-life emergencies.
