CG Foods pledges 6 million rupees for under-19 women’s cricket team

KATHMANDU: CG Foods Nepal Limited is set to provide financial support of 6 million rupees to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) for the development of the under-19 women’s team and overall Nepali cricket.

Nepal is set to co-host the 2027 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup alongside Bangladesh.
In light of this upcoming World Cup, CG Foods Nepal Limited has pledged to support the development of Nepali cricket.
Wai Wai, which is already sponsoring the men’s under-19 cricket team, has further announced its commitment to support the Nepal Cricket Association by also sponsoring the women’s under-19 cricket team.
During the press conference, Chaudhary Group Managing Director Nirvana Chaudhary, Secretary of CAN Paras Khadka, and CEO of CG Foods Pradeep Pudasaini were present to sign the agreement.
Additionally, CG Foods Nepal Limited has introduced the ‘Wai Wai Cricket Special Edition Package’ to encourage and support the Nepalese cricket team.
This initiative aims to commemorate Nepal’s historic participation in the ICC Men’s T-20 World Cup for the second time, providing the team with additional motivation.
