Why TIA closing for half an hour?

KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) will remain closed for half an hour on Monday afternoon.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the airport will be closed from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.

Various exercises related to aviation accidents will be conducted at the airport during this time period, with participation from various agencies involved in aviation, security, medical, and rescue operations.

These exercises are part of the airport’s emergency plan.
