KATHMANDU: A Nepali individual who had reached to South Korea for foreign employment has passed away.

Hari Chandra Adhikari from Chhedagad Municipality-3, Jajarkot, died just a week after reaching in South Korea.

In 2078 B.S. (Nepali calendar year), despite holding a police job, Adhikari struggled to support his family financially and decided to travel to South Korea.

Although he passed the EPS exam in 2079, he waited two years for his turn.

Eventually, he resigned from his police job and flew to South Korea on Jestha 14 (May 27) this year.

However, he fell ill just three days after starting work there.

Tragically, he passed away three days later.

At just 25 years old, his untimely death has devastated his family.

His wife, Pratikshya, who was eagerly awaiting his return with their two-year-old daughter, is now left widowed at a young age.

Unable to sustain his family on a low salary and bearing significant family responsibilities, Adhikari left the police service to seek better opportunities abroad, only to face an untimely demise.

The news of his death within a week of his departure has also shocked his sister, Gyanu Adhikari Nyaupane, who had already settled after her marriage.

She expressed her grief on social media, writing, “God took away our family’s happiness within a week of him reaching Korea, always keep my brother happy.”
