Mahaseth assigned responsibility of Acting PM
President's Office confirmed that the responsibility of acting Prime Minister has been assigned to Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth during Prime Minister Prachanda's visit to India.

KATHMANDU: The Office of the President has announced that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth, has been assigned as Acting Prime Minister in the absence of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.
In an official statement, the President’s Office confirmed that the responsibility of acting Prime Minister has been assigned to Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth during Prime Minister Prachanda’s visit to India.
Prime Minister Prachanda departed for New Delhi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of India’s acting Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, as the new Prime Minister.
During his absence, the daily administrative duties of the Prime Minister will be handled by Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth, according to the statement from the President’s Office.
Prime Minister Prachanda left for India on Sunday and is scheduled to return to Nepal on Monday.
