KATHMANDU: The lawsuit filed by Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal Chair Upendra Yadav against the division of his party has been kept under ‘observing the situation closely.’

The hearing was held on Friday in the bench of judges Hariprasal Phuyal and Tilprasad Shrestha.

However, as the debate was not concluded, the case was scheduled for Sunday.

President Upendra Yadav walked the Supreme Court, claiming that the party was registered unlawfully by separating it.

JSP Chair Yadav filed a lawsuit at the Supreme Court, demanding that the Election Commission’s decision to register the party be overturned.

The JSP, led by Ashok Rai, has received the certificate from the Election Commission.

Rai led JSP Nepal into division only last month.
