Star footballer Samba appointed Goodwill Ambassador for ADB

KATHMANDU: Savitra Bhandari (nicknamed Samba), the forward for the Nepali National Women’s Football Team, has been named the Goodwill Ambassador for the Kirshi Bikas Bank (Agricultural Development Bank).

This appointment was announced during a press conference held in Kathmandu on Friday.

Under the terms of a one-year agreement, Samba will receive a yearly training kit valued at Rs 8 lakh.

Additionally, as per the agreement, Samba will serve as the bank’s brand ambassador for one year, aiding in its promotion efforts.

During the event, Samba expressed gratitude, highlighting the significance of her journey from playing football in her village to reaching the international stage.
