Loader operator buried in landslide

KATHMANDU: A loader operator was buried in a landslide and died at the construction site of the Super Nyadi Project in Nyaadi Khola, Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-6, Lamjung.

The incident occurred this morning when a landslide fell from above while the operator, Gopal Tamang, aged 42 from Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-10, Makwanpur, was on his way to work with the loader.

The information was provided by Inspector Meghnath Chapagain of the District Police Office, Lamjung.

The critically injured operator Tamang passed away during treatment at the Trauma Center in Kathmandu.

The Super Nyadi Project has a capacity of 42.60 megawatts.
