Thangkot-Chitlang road section to be closed until July 4
The road construction company has stated that due to the high grade and narrow width of certain sections, they will be using breakers for back cutting and grade down work.
KATHMANDU: The Thangkot-Chitlang road section under Ganeshman Road will be closed from today until July 4.
The road construction company has stated that due to the high grade and narrow width of certain sections, they will be using breakers for back cutting and grade down work.
Consequently, the road section will be closed from 9 AM to 4 PM during these days, according to Chandragiri Municipality.
In a notice issued today by the Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality, Hemraj Aryal, it was mentioned that the road will be closed upon the request of the contracting company responsible for road construction, to facilitate road widening and upgrading.
On the special request of Chandragiri Mayor Ghanshyam Giri, the Ministry of Finance had allocated eight crores on Jan 26 for the immediate upgrading of Ganeshman Road.
The Seto Paharo area within this road section is considered highly accident-prone.
On Jan 13, a car accident in the Seto Paharo area resulted in the untimely death of five individuals.
