Nepal Distilleries awarded triple medals at the prestigious IWSC Awards

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s first and leading distillery, The Nepal Distilleries Pvt. Ltd. is proud to announce the addition of 3 more prestigious medals to its existing wall of global recognition.

The distillery’s three different offerings with distinctive tastes, brought home one silver and two bronze at the International Wine and Spirits Competition (IWSC) Awards 2024.

IWSC is a global wine and spirits community, discovering and awarding the best spirits from around the world since 1969. The annual event receives entries from over 90 countries.

Khukri XXX Rum, forefront as the distillery’s flagship lineup since 1959, bagged bronze medal with 88 points.

The Khukri Spiced Rum, infused with authentic Nepalese spices, was awarded bronze medal with 89 points. NUDE SUPERIOR VODKA, the flagship product by the distillery, claimed the silver medal with 91 points.

One of the nine-membered IWSC judging panel was Ian Burrell, the Global Rum Ambassador, who is currently in Nepal, exploring the craftsmanship and unique taste of the Original Nepalese Rum: Khukri Rum.

First produced in 1959, Khukri XXX Rum has established itself as the Original Himalayan Rum.
