KATHMANDU: Nepal will face the UAE today in the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

The match will start at 9:45 PM Nepali time at the Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Stadium in Saudi Arabia.

The match, originally scheduled to be played at Nepal’s home ground, Dasharath Stadium, was moved to a neutral venue in Saudi Arabia.

The AFC determined that Dasharath Stadium’s infrastructure did not meet the standards required for hosting international matches, causing Nepal to miss out on the home advantage.

Previously, Nepal had to play its home match against Bahrain in Bahrain and will also play against Yemen at the same Saudi stadium. In Group ‘H’, Nepal has lost all four of its previous matches.

Nepal was defeated 4-0 by the UAE and 2-0 by Yemen.
