Indian Prime Minister Modi resigned

KATHMANDU: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resigned from his post.

He submitted his resignation to President Draupadi Murmi on Wednesday after the results of the Lok Sabha elections were announced.

Indian media reported that President Murmu has accepted Modi’s resignation.

Even if he resigns from the post, Modi will be the acting Prime Minister of the Government of India till June 8.

With the announcement of the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the moment of formation of a new government in India has begun.
