KATHMANDU: A fire that broke out at Madan Bhandari Memorial Park in Ward 32, Tinkune, Kathmandu, on Wednesday has been successfully brought under control by the armed police, other security agencies, and local residents with the help of fire trucks.

The fire reportedly started due to a gas leakage in a four-story building owned by Jeevan Regmi.

This building housed a storage facility for noodles and biscuits operated by Dilip Kumar Shah.

To control the blaze, a disaster response unit from Battalion No. 20 in Sinamangal was actively deployed.
