Family of Bajhang’s Madan perishes in Bangalore; hadn’t returned home in 6 years

KATHMANDU: A gas explosion in Bangalore, India, has claimed the lives of five members of a family originally from Bajhang, Nepal.
The victims were all from the same family, headed by Madan Bohara, who had been working in Bangalore for the past six years.
The deceased include Madan Bohara, his wife Premjala Dhami Bohara, their daughters Anita Bohara and Nita Bohara, and their son Prashant Bohara.
The incident occurred last Wednesday night around 11 PM when a gas leak in their windowless room led to a fire as they attempted to light a match.
The resulting blaze caused severe burns to all five family members.
Following the accident, the injured were rushed to Victoria Hospital nearby.
Despite efforts to save them, all five succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Premjala Dhami Bohara passed away on Saturday evening, while their daughters had already died earlier.
Madan and son Prashant succumbed to their injuries late last night.
Madan Bohara, 32, had been living with his family in Bangalore for the past six years due to financial difficulties in sustaining their livelihood in their hometown of Suil, Ward No. 11, Jayaprithvi Municipality, Bajhang.
