KATHMANDU: Ayurveda and Alternative Hospital Kathmandu has conducted an orientation program on yoga and pre-work for the operators of homestays, hotels and resorts.
The program was organized at Matatirtha in Chandragiri Municipality with the aim of promoting medical tourism through Ayurveda and yoga, facilitated by Ayurvedic and alternative health centers.
The program intends to enhance tourism in the region by utilizing Ayurvedic methods and attracting visitors to the area.
The Ayurvedic and alternative health centers have highlighted the effectiveness of Ayurvedic medicines, massage, baths, and other methods not only for treating illnesses but also for stress management and overall health improvement, making them appealing to tourists.
Moreover, by introducing various yoga practices rooted in ancient philosophy, the program aims to further attract tourists, emphasizing the incorporation of these services into homestays, hotels, and resorts to prolong visitors’ stay in Nepal.
Expectations are high that providing Ayurvedic massage services in these accommodations will cater to tourists seeking long-term wellness journeys, thereby contributing to the growth and development of medical tourism.
