Trailer of action movie ‘Daanvi’ starring Pooja Sharma released (video)

KATHMANDU: The trailer for the Nepali movie ‘Daanvi’ has been released.

The trailer was unveiled during an event in Kathmandu on Thursday.

Actress Pooja Sharma plays an action role in the film, with Kunsang Bomjan in the lead role.

The movie is directed by Rupesh Tamang and produced by Dev Magar and Anup Gadal.

The film features a story by Rabina Thapa Magar, screenplay and dialogue by Sanjog Kunwar Rana, action choreography by Shree Shrestha, cinematography by Haribahadur Ghale, and editing by Bande Prasad.

Speaking at the trailer launch event, actress Sharma mentioned that her hands still tremble when watching the shooting videos. She expressed her discontent with news headlines suggesting that action scenes are only about riding a bike and requested not to judge the film by a single clip but to watch the entire movie before forming an opinion.

She said, “Even now, my hands tremble thinking about how I managed to do the shooting. If I were asked to do it now, I don’t think I could. The effort put in was immense, and it scares me to remember it. I have moved forward with the mindset that my work will speak for itself. Headlines were made saying action scenes are just about riding a bike, but after watching the whole movie, you’ll understand what it’s really about, so please don’t make such headlines.”

Pooja has taken on an action role for the first time in ‘Daanvi’. The movie is set to release on Asar 7 (June 21).
