Identities revealed of dead in Surkhet jeep accident

KATHMANDU: The four individuals who lost their lives in a tragic accident involving a jeep traveling from Surkhet to Kalikot near Ratangala in Surkhet have been identified.

Authorities report that among the victims of the Bolero jeep accident at Birendranagar-14 Takuri mode on the Surkhet-Dailekh route, three were from Kalikot Shubhakalika-3, while one hailed from Dailekh Bhairavi Rural Municipality-4.

The deceased are identified as Tanta BK, Namraj BK, and Birendra BK from Kalikot Shubhakalika-3.

The Surkhet District Police Office has identified Mahendra Shahi from Bhairavi Rural Municipality-4 as one of the deceased.

Additionally, Nari BK from Kalikot Shubkalika-3 and Narendra Bista (the driver) from Kalikot Khadachakra Municipality-9 Pakha sustained injuries in the accident, as confirmed by DSP Birendraveer Bishwakarma, Information Officer of the Surkhet District Police Office.

The injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the State Hospital in Surkhet.

The accident occurred at 2 am on Thursday, according to police reports.
