Four held for gang rape of woman in Parbat

KATHMANDU: Four individuals have been arrested on charges of forcibly raping a woman in Parbat district, according to the District Police Office.
The arrested suspects include 32-year-old Sagar Bahadur Malla, 21-year-old Aakash KC, 22-year-old Sandesh Kshetri, and 36-year-old Kushal Malla, informed Police Inspector Bhawan Baram, the Information Officer at the District Police Office.
According to Inspector Baram, the arrests were made based on information that the four men had entered the woman’s house and raped her collectively on Monday night.
The incident occurred when the woman’s husband was not at home, providing the accused with an opportunity to enter the room and commit the crime.
The police have stated that the suspects were apprehended the same night and are currently under investigation for the crime of rape.
The Parbat District Court has granted an initial seven-day extension for their custody to facilitate further investigation, Inspector Baram reported.
