Kailash Sirohiya released on assurance to appear when summoned

KATHMANDU: Kailash Sirohiya, Chair of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), has been released on guarantee of being produced when summoned.

DSP Ranjan Awa of the District Police Office in Dhanusha said that the court has decided to release Sirohiya.

The public prosecutor’s office has granted permission for Sirohiya to appear when summoned.

The decision letter has been sent to Kathmandu, and his son, Sambhav Sirohiya, has posted his bail.

On Monday, the District Court of Dhanusha authorized a third three-day detention for Sirohiya.

Due to health issues, Sirohiya is currently receiving treatment at Medicity Hospital in Lalitpur.

He was transported to Kathmandu by helicopter. Sirohiya is required to appear whenever summoned by the police.
