Pashupatinath Temple to open all four gates starting June 15

Previously, the temple's four gates were opened at 4 AM only on special occasions such as Mahashivaratri, Teej, and Balachaturdashi.

KATHMANDU: Starting from the first day of the Nepali month of Asadh, all four gates of the revered Pashupatinath Temple will open at 4 AM, according to Rewati Raman Adhikari, spokesperson for the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT).

This change aims to accommodate the increasing number of devotees and to allow them access to the temple from all four gates during the early morning hours.

Adhikari stated, “From the first day of Asadh, all four gates of Pashupatinath will open at 4 AM so that devotees can enter from any gate.”
