Man held for killing elderly woman

KATHMANDU: The police have arrested 36-year-old Harjit Bahadur Patali, a resident of Tallo Maurebanj in Bungal Municipality-11, Bajhang, on charges of beating and killing his 70-year-old aunt, Kaluli Devi Patali, in her own home.

Harjit was apprehended by officers from the temporary police post at Putalilek and the Bajhang district police office.

The arrest followed reports that Kaluli Devi died on the spot after being beaten by Harjit, who was allegedly intoxicated at the time.

The police is conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
