KATHMANDU: Kailash Sirohiya, Chair of Kantipur Media Group (KMG), currently under police custody in Dhanusha on charges of citizenship fraud, is set to be transferred to Kathmandu for medical treatment.
His health deteriorated while in custody, prompting doctors at Kavya Hospital in Janakpurdham to recommend treatment in Kathmandu.

Discussions are underway at the District Police Office for necessary legal consultations before the transfer. Preparations for the helicopter transfer to Kathmandu are in progress.
The Dhanusha District Court, extending his custody for the third time, emphasized Sirohiya’s right to medical treatment and granted permission for the transfer to a well-equipped facility.
