Weather: Rain & thunderstorms in Bagmati & Gandaki States

KATHMANDU: This morning, several regions in Nepal, including Bagmati and Gandaki States, are experiencing rainfall

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is partial to general cloud cover across Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali States, as well as other hilly areas.

Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is occurring in some areas of Bagmati and Gandaki States.

Afternoon Forecast:

Weather Conditions: Expect generally cloudy skies in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki States. Other regions will have partly cloudy to mainly clear weather.

Rainfall Possibility: Light to moderate rain, with thunder, lightning, and wind, is likely in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces. Additionally, a few places in Madhesh and Karnali States might experience similar conditions.

Snowfall: Light snowfall is expected in a few places in the higher hilly and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.

Night Forecast:

Weather Conditions: Koshi State and other hilly regions will generally remain cloudy. The rest of the country will have mainly clear weather.

Rainfall Possibility: There is a possibility of light to moderate rain, with thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi State and a few hilly regions.

Snowfall: Light snowfall is anticipated in a few higher hilly and Himalayan areas of Koshi State.

The department also mentioned that local winds and the influence of the “Remal” cyclone in the eastern part of the country are affecting Nepal’s weather patterns.
