Four-vehicle collision on Narayangadh-Muglin road leaves one dead, 22 injured

KATHMANDU: Four vehicles collided on Sunday night in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 Satrakilo under the Narayangadh-Muglin road section of Chitwan.
The accident resulted in one fatality and 22 injuries.
According to Bheshraj Rijal, Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson for the Chitwan District Police Office, the collision occurred at around 12:30 AM.
The vehicles involved were a bus with license plate number Ba 4 Kha 9086 heading from Kathmandu to Pyuthan, a truck with license plate number Na 3 Kha 7915 traveling from Narayangadh to Muglin, a bus with license plate number Na 7 Kha 3248 en route from Kathmandu to Mahottari, and another bus with license plate number Na 6 Kha 8968 traveling from Birgunj to Kathmandu.
The deceased has been identified as an approximately 17-year-old boy, whose identity has yet to be established.
The collision caused a roadblock that lasted through the night.
However, Deputy Superintendent Rijal confirmed that two-way traffic resumed this morning.
Among the injured, 18 are receiving treatment at Ichchhakamana Basic Hospital in Kurintar, while four are being treated at Chitwan Medical College.
