Weather: Local winds & low-pressure system bring mixed conditions

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division reports that local winds in Nepal, along with a low-pressure system near Uttar Pradesh, India, are affecting the country’s weather.

In hilly areas like Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali State, the weather will be partly to mostly clear, with partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions this afternoon.

Expect light to moderate rain with thunder and gusts in some hilly regions including Bagmati, Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali States, with possible light snow in high hilly and Himalayan areas.

Tonight, Koshi State may experience light to moderate rain with thunder and gusts, while scattered light rain with thunder and gusts could occur in Madhesh, Sudurpaschim States, and other hilly regions.
