KATHMANDU: In preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup, Nepal secured their second victory against the Houston Hurricanes.

After winning the first practice match by 6 runs on Saturday, Nepal emerged victorious again on Sunday morning, defeating the Hurricanes by 27 runs.

Batting first, Nepal set a target of 124 runs.

The Hurricanes were bowled out for 96 runs in 18.3 overs, resulting in Nepal’s 27-run win.

For Nepal, captain Rohit Kumar Paudel scored the highest with 41 runs, while Kushal Bhurtel contributed 23 runs.

Gulshan Jha was out for 14 runs, Aasif Sheikh for 1, and Anil Kumar Shah for 4.

Kushal Malla managed only 2 runs. Sandeep Jora and Sompal Kami remained not out, scoring 12 runs each.

Nepal posted a total of 123 runs for 6 wickets in the full 20 overs.

In defending the 124-run target, Karan KC was the standout bowler for Nepal, taking three wickets for just 10 runs.

Sompal Kami claimed two wickets, while Rohit Kumar Paudel, Avinash Bohora, and Sagar Dhakal each took one wicket, helping Nepal bowl out the Hurricanes cheaply.
