Partial influence of local winds in Nepal
At present, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is occurring in a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini States.
KATHMANDU: According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Nepal is currently experiencing the partial influence of local winds.
This influence has led to partly to generally cloudy conditions in the hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali States, while the weather remains mostly clear in other parts of the country.
At present, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is occurring in a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini States.
In the afternoon, the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim States, along with other hilly areas, are expected to remain partly to generally cloudy.
In contrast, other parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to mostly clear weather.
There is a possibility of light rain with thunderstorms and wind in a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki States, as well as in one or two places in other parts of the country.
Tonight, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly regions of Gandaki and Karnali States, while the weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear in other areas.
Light rain with thunderstorms and wind is likely in a few places in Gandaki and Karnali States and in one or two places in other hilly regions.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has also issued a forecast for tomorrow, indicating the possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and wind in a few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali States, as well as in one or two places in other parts of the country.
Such weather changes could impact agriculture, transportation, and daily life, so the division advises taking necessary precautions.
