A total of 904 dengue cases have been identified across these districts.
KATHMANDU: With the onset of rainfall, cases of dengue are on the rise, with reports emerging from fifty-seven districts.
Dr. Gokarna Prasad Dahal, the Chief of the Vector Control Section at the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division of the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the risk of dengue has escalated due to the collection of rainwater in containers like pots and buckets, which become breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
A total of 904 dengue cases have been identified across these districts.
Dr. Dahal emphasized the importance of taking precautions to prevent dengue infections.
Last year, a staggering 51,143 individuals were afflicted with dengue across 77 districts.
In response, authorities have directed 33 local administrations to conduct campaigns aimed at mosquito eradication by identifying high-risk areas.
Dengue manifests through symptoms such as high fever, headache, body aches, and joint pains.
To mitigate the risk of mosquito bites, the Ministry urges citizens to utilize mosquito nets while sleeping, wear clothing with long sleeves, and maintain cleanliness in the vicinity of their homes.
