Two boys drown while swimming in river

KATHMANDU: Two boys, aged 11 and 9, drowned in a river while swimming in Ilam, Mai Municipality-8.

According to the local police office in Ilam, Ming Suhang Limbu, 11, the son of Bikram Limbu and Kishman Aangdembe, 9, the son of Rajendra Aangdembe drowned in the river.

Ming was rescued from the water and taken to a local medical facility, but unfortunately, he could not be saved.

As per the police report, during the search operation, another boy named Kisman, who had been swimming with him, was discovered lifeless in the waters at a location known as Ghirling in Ilam.

The police are conducting further investigation into the incident.
