Nepali Embassy in Kuala Lumpur celebrates 2568th Buddha Jayanti
The event, aimed at fostering friendship, featured presentations on Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, as well as Nepali music, art, and culture.
KATHMANDU: The Nepali Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, organized a program on Wednesday to mark the 2568th Buddha Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Lord Gautam Buddha.
In coordination with the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) in Malaysia, the program was inaugurated by Nepali Ambassador to Malaysia Delhi Raj Paudel, senior Buddhist monk from Malaysia Bhikshu Datuk K. Sri Dhammaratana Nayaka Maha Thera, and Binod Thapa, Chair of NRNA Malaysia.
The event, aimed at fostering friendship, featured presentations on Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, as well as Nepali music, art, and culture.
During the occasion, Ambassador Paudel highlighted Lumbini as the pride of Nepal and informed about its inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
He also conveyed Nepal’s commitment to the complete development of the Lumbini area and the preservation of its cultural and architectural monuments.
