Singapore dispatches investigators for turbulence-hit flight

A relief flight, carrying 131 passengers and 12 crew members who were on flight SQ321, landed at Singapore's Changi Airport earlier this morning.

KATHMANDU: Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat announced on Wednesday that officers from Singapore’s Transport Safety Investigation Bureau have reached in Bangkok to investigate the turbulence incident involving Singapore Airlines flight SQ321.

Additionally, the United States’ National Transportation Safety Board is dispatching a team to assist, as the accident involved a Boeing 777-300ER jet, Chee stated.

A relief flight, carrying 131 passengers and 12 crew members who were on flight SQ321, landed at Singapore’s Changi Airport earlier this morning.

The incident resulted in one fatality and 30 injured.

Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong extended his condolences to the family of the dead.
