KATHMANDU: A Singapore Airlines flight en route from London to Singapore experienced a tragic incident, resulting in one fatality and injuries to 30 passengers.

The aircraft, carrying a total of 211 passengers and 18 crew members, was forced to make an emergency landing at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport due to technical issues.

The Suvarnabhumi Airport’s General Manager, Kittipong Kittikachorn, reported that of the injured passengers, seven are in serious condition and have been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Airport officials are providing assistance to the remaining passengers.

A replacement aircraft is scheduled to arrive at the airport on Tuesday night to accommodate the stranded passengers, according to Kittipong.

The airline and airport authorities are working together to manage the situation and ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers involved.
