KATHMANDU: The national cricket team has been seen making good preparations recently, with their current training being regarded as some of the best they’ve had so far.

With only two matches left in the T20 World Cup, Nepal will play their first match against the Netherlands at the Grand Prairie Cricket Ground in Dallas, USA.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has scheduled two official warm-up matches for all 20 participating nations, with Nepal set to play against Canada and the USA.

Nepal will face Canada on May 27 and the USA on May 30.

Both matches will take place at the Grand Prairie Cricket Ground.

Ahead of these matches, the team will play two practice games in Houston, Texas, against the Houston Hurricanes team on May 22 and 23.

To prepare, the Nepali team traveled to the West Indies and played three friendly matches.

Within the last three weeks, the national cricket team had scheduled a total of seven practice matches.

During their visit to St. Vincent in the West Indies, the team played three friendly matches against the local team, St. Vincent and the Windwards, on May 14, 16, and 18. Among these matches, the team won two and lost one.

Starting from June 1 in the upcoming World Cup, Nepal will play their first match against the Netherlands on June 4.

Following that, on June 12, they will face the West Indies in Florida for their second match.

In the West Indies, Nepal will play against South Africa on June 15 and Bangladesh on June 17, concluding the league stage.

The outcome of these four matches will determine Nepal’s progress in the tournament.
