Sub-engineer killed in Morang road accident

KATHMANDU: An accident occurred in Gramathan, Morang, claiming the life of a sub-engineer when his motorcycle collided with a stationary tipper on the road.

The accident took place at Tetaria Chowk in Gramathan Rural Municipality-5 on Sunday night.

The victim, identified as 35-year-old Mohammad Muktar Khan, was driving a government motorcycle bearing registration number Ko 1 B 1384 from Haraincha in Sundarharaincha towards Biratnagar.

DSP Gyanendra Bahadur Basnet, spokesperson for the Morang Police, reported that Khan, who served as a Sub-Engineer (Overseer) in Gramathan Rural Municipality, lost his life when his motorcycle collided with the rear of tipper Na 5 Kha 7079.

Khan, originally from Saptari, resided in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-1.
