Pokhara University Teaching Hospital inaugurated
Chief Minister of Gandaki State, Khagraj Adhikari, opened the 100-bed teaching hospital on Monday. It will to be run under the Pokhara University.
KATHMANDU: The Pokhara University Teaching Hospital (PUTH) established at Khudi of Lekhnath in Pokhara Metropolitan-30 has been inaugurated.
Chief Minister of Gandaki State, Khagraj Adhikari, opened the 100-bed teaching hospital on Monday. It will to be run under the Pokhara University.
Although the health facility had begun service partially since last August, it came into full operation on Monday.
While inaugurating the hospital, CM Adhikari said government had prioritized health insurance, so the hospital needs to provide service keeping in account the priority.
He urged the PUTU to deliver best medical and health services to the needy ones.
Registrar at the Pokhara University and Chair of PUTH, Prof Dr Deepak Bahadur Bhandari, informed that the hospital was brought into operation to facilitate practical sessions for the students of medical science at university.
The health facility came into full operation after securing medical equipment of Rs 50 million. The building for it was constructed at Rs 70 million.
